James Williams began his insurance career and is the only local Insurance Adjuster to hold a Staff, Independent, and Public Adjuster position in Canada. In addition to holding Chairman, President, and CEO roles at adjusting firms in the community, James was also elected President of the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association. His undisputed reputation for excellence led to training insurance professionals through local colleges and Angell Townson & Williams Limited. By 2015, he had already owned and operated five successful businesses in the insurance industry employing as many as 30 people at a time. But James noticed an increasing number of Canadians unhappy with their claims experience. He listened to their complaints of unfair settlements and took a bold, unprecedented step; He “switched sides”. James co-started Angell Townson & Williams Limited. and has only advocated for the Insured ever since.

Angell Townson joined Angell Townson & Williams Limited in 1980.  He has been a principal since 1990. As a licensed public adjuster and loss consultant, Angell has successfully adjusted thousands of building, personal property, business interruption, and other types of claims that have arisen from catastrophic events.  Angell specializes in disputed insurance claims and has been appointed as an appraiser and umpire for numerous insurance appraisal proceedings.

Robert D. Morris has practiced insurance litigation, real estate law and general commercial litigation for over 29 years as in-house counsel to Angell Townson & Williams Limited, while also maintaining his own private client base.  Robert has fought on behalf of our clients in some of the most complex insurance litigation cases.  In instances where insurance companies have not cooperated, and in some cases, denied insurance coverage, Robert has represented and fought on behalf of our clients.  Insurance companies have their own legal defense attorneys and with The Law Firm of Robert D. Robert Briggs joined Angell Townson & Williams Limited in 1999. His many years of experience as a public adjuster for residential, commercial, and industrial property losses have enabled him to successfully negotiate positive outcomes for the firm’s clients, with claims ranging from the conventional to the highly intricate. Robert is a member of NAPIA and NJPAA. He is an active participant in NAPIA's continuing education program, in addition to being a regular participant at industry conventions.

Toni Williams joined Angell Townson & Williams Limited in 2005. He oversees operations and office services for the firm. A licensed public adjuster in Toronto since 1994, Toni Williams additionally plays a key role at Angell Townson & Williams Limited in the adjustment process of claims. He also serves as a liaison with attorneys, mortgage specialists, and insurance company personnel. Toni Williams is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

William K. Lee brings to the firm more than 10 years’ experience providing customer service and office administration. Currently, William K. Lee is General Counsel to the firm’s principal, Angell Williams. In addition, he assists our adjusters in handling open claims. William also oversees the firm’s website, social network profiles, and online listings. Prior to joining Angell Townson & Williams Limited , William worked on a number of construction projects throughout the tri-state area assisting the head engineer of a prominent Toronto construction company. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
